The 52nd Annual Edina Art Fair is from June 1 - 3, 2018. The Edina Art Fair has grown to 250,000 visitors throughout the 3-day weekend, while displaying 280 artists diverse collection of art, entertainment, kids zone, craft beer gardens, gourmet food and more.
The Edina Art Fair is the first art fair of the summer and is rated one of the top 50 art festivals in the nation. The fair is held annually in the streets of 50th & France.

Working mostly from photographs, students draw a variety of animals and in doing so learn how to depict different textures, body shapes, movements, and positions that bring their drawing to life! People of all skill levels are welcome in this chalk pastel class. Firstly, students learn, or refreshing knowledge of, drawing fundamentals such as line, form, spatial relationships, composition, and color theory. Then students apply those fundamentals to drawing animals of their choosing. Whether they be birds, fish, mammals, reptiles, pets, or even insects, all animals can become beautiful, captivating drawings.

Whether you are familiar with chalk pastel or you have never picked up a pastel in your life this workshop will provide you with helpful tools to explore your artistic side. Explore and practice fundamentals of drawing, such as line, form, and color theory using chalk pastel, then use these skills to create a finished drawing. Those who feel confident can dive into the drawing at their own pace while those feeling unsure about how to proceed can follow along with step-by-step instruction on how to draw this lovely Ruby-throated Hummingbird.
